Jet Medical Flights Ltd specialises in medical repatriations. The fastest and safest method of medical repatriation is by air ambulance – a specially equipped aircraft assisted by e.g. a medical flight doctor and paramedic and/or nurse (depending on the medical condition of the patient). Air ambulance with medical flight team will take the patient back to their destination making sure there is the continuity of treatment.
Our Medical Repatriation Team will arrange the full service (called bed-to-bed service) which includes: assessing patient's current condition (based on information received), organising the appropriate fit-to-fly certificate from patient's doctor, organising necessary details to fly patient back, arranging land ambulance journeys both at patient's current location and destination, hospital admission (if required) in the UK, etc. At an additional cost we can also organise luggage or equipment shipment back to the country as the space in the aircraft is quite limited.

| Full communication with all parties involved during the medical transfer. | |
Air ambulance flight is the quickest way of getting patients home. This way of medical repatriation is especially useful if patients are seriously ill and in remote locations. Air ambulance flights save patients' lives and if patients are insured air ambulance repatriation also reflects on the image of the insurance companies. This is because medical transport is one of the elements of helping the insured who is stranded abroad and has medical problems. The decision on the medical repatriation or continuing medical treatment abroad depends on the medical condition of patients. Their health, safety and well being are the most important factors.
The cost of medical repatriation can vary. If the patient is not able to fly on a schedule airline flight, then usually the patient travels back on a private air ambulance medical flight. This significantly increases the overall cost of medical repatriation. The cost of medical flight on a private aircraft depends on the type of air ambulance aircraft, the number of medical staff required and the journey's length. As an example, the cost of medical flight from Dubai to UK starts from around £37,500.00.
